SmartView — CHESF GIS/SCADA Platform
CHESF / ANEEL P&D
Highlights
- SCADA/EMS integration with map-based interface
- Satellite-imagery reservoir border supervision
- Lightning and wildfire correlation with grid incidents
- Environmental licensing system with geospatial data
The SmartView suite consolidates four interrelated P&D projects delivered for CHESF in partnership with UFCG under ANEEL funding.
SmartView GIS Base presents CHESF’s full transmission network — hydroelectric plants, thermal plants, substations, 230 kV / 500 kV lines — on an interactive web map, with real-time data feeds from SCADA/EMS, alarm dashboards, power quality indicators (power quality metrics), and oscillography records accessible by clicking any network element.
SmartView Lightning and Wildfires integrates atmospheric lightning discharge data and wildfire occurrence records, correlating environmental events with electrical grid incidents on the timeline view. Operators can identify whether a line fault coincides with a nearby wildfire or lightning strike with a single click.
Environmental GIS — Reservoir Borders provides spatial supervision of reservoir border areas and surrounding land use, supporting CHESF’s environmental compliance obligations under ANEEL regulations. The system was extended with a full environmental licensing module featuring geospatial workflows for permit submission, spatial queries, and reporting.
