Three interrelated GIS-based platforms were developed to support evidence-based public management in Maranhão.
SEPLAN PPA Dashboard provides the Maranhão State Planning Secretariat with a choropleth map interface for monitoring multi-year planning (PPA) indicators across all 217 municipalities. Thematic layers cover municipal development indexes, infrastructure provision, health outcomes, and education performance, with color-coded ranges and drill-down municipal profiles.
DIEE — São Luís Indicator System serves the São Luís City Hall with neighborhood-level indicator maps covering sanitation, housing, income, and public service access. Users select the reporting year, visualize by urban census sectors or neighborhoods, and generate spatial reports in PDF or CSV format.
IMESC Municipal Indicators developed for the Instituto Maranhense de Estudos Socioeconômicos e Cartográficos (IMESC), this platform visualizes population, economic, and social indicators across all Maranhão municipalities on a satellite-imagery base map with Google Satellite and OpenStreetMap layer options.
